I review the first season of NBC’s dark urban fantasy TV series Constantine, compromised of thirteen episodes and based on the titular DC Comics character and starring Matt Ryan in the lead role. Developed by Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer, Constantine also stars Harold Perrineau, Angelica Celaya and Charles Halford. It airs in the UK on Amazon Prime.

The Originals 01: The Rise by Julie Plec (Hachette Childrens Books/HQN Books)

I share my thoughts on the first tie-in novel to The Originals CW series, a young adult book entitled The Rise, which serves a period drama focused on the series’ three main characters, Elijah, Rebekah and Klaus Mikaelson. It's written by the executive producer of The Vampire Diaries, Julie Plec. This book is published in the UK by Hachette Children’s Books, and in the USA by HQN Books, and is currently available in both countries.

The Walking Dead Season 2 (AMC)

In my attempt to catch up on the five seasons of The Walking Dead before the final episode of Season 5 airs on AMC, I share my thoughts on the second season of the zombie drama starring Andrew Lincoln, Jon Berenthal, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden and Jeffrey DeMunn, among others. The Walking Dead borrows its inspiration from Robert Kirkman’s long running comic series of the same name, and the second season's showrunner is Glen Mazzara.
